One of the best things to have friends who love fashion It’s not just that we share a love for all things fashion, beauty, and interior design but every time we have dinner, a night out, a birthday or an outing with my daughter, I know that it will be like attending a mini fashion show. A place where I can see my stylish friends putting together their best looks, and I must say I am always impressed by what my friends have put together. Just recently, a few friends of mine and I traveled to Miami to celebrate two of the Cancers in our group whose birthdays came right after another and the outfits they brought were next level. follow. While we are all fashion buffs, not all of us share the same sense of style (and if we did, what would be more fun?).
First, in my group of stylish friends, we have Michelle, a Gen Z fashion girl working in PR, who I actually went to the same fashion school. I would describe her style as a high-class, ultra-chic Barbie goth with a Julia Fox look. Michelle is not shy when it comes to her wardrobe and loves to incorporate adventurous elements into her looks.
Pascalotherwise, it’s all about the French girl vibe, and as a data analyst for Coach and formerly with Ellie Sabb and Saint Laurent, she often looks as if she just stepped out of a Jacquemus show. She’s taller, so she likes to hug small contours to show off her legs (me too.)
Then we have Diana, who I met while working for Nordstrom in Los Angeles. She runs our store’s design department, and to say she looks at this department is an overstatement. She always looks glamorous, put together and very New York Cityshe currently works as an interior design director for Restoration Hardware, where she uses her fashion eye to help bring elegant and stylish spaces to life.
Finally, we have Eileen, the most stylish account manager I have ever seen. Her vibe is always polished, feminine and she doesn’t hesitate to wear a fun accessory, especially a pair of sparkly heels. She also has an amazing collection of vintage sunglasses and handbags. On the other hand, I dress like a Gen Z hybrid of all four Sex and the city character, I certainly don’t mind standing out, and my wardrobe reflects that. I also let my mood dictate my outfit for the day.
While all five of us appreciate our personal aesthetic, we all agree that when we need a quick fashion fix, we run to The nearest Zara as fast as possible. To my surprise, when we all looked through our online shopping carts, there was so much overlap of miniskirts and chic dresses that was guaranteed to turn heads.
