30 abandoned dogs crammed in poop-filled bedrooms finally have a happy ending
On a hot summer day, 30 dogs were found crammed into a dirty, cramped one-bedroom apartment in Manhattan, New York.
The New York Police Department contacted the ASPCA because of concerns about animals being kept indoors.
ASPCA staff immediately went to the house to check on the situation. When they arrived, all the dogs were extremely scared and in terrible shape.
All dogs were stripped and soaked in their feces and urine. They have no food or water, and will not live much longer if they are not rescued.
Fortunately, all the dogs were confiscated from the apartment and taken to a safe place. After receiving medical examination and treatment, they were adopted by loving families.
Two of those dogs, Elby and Wyoming, have both found their perfect families.
When Wyoming’s family heard about her story, they knew they wanted to adopt her. They make it their mission to pamper her and help her forget all the bad things that happened to her in the past.
And that’s exactly what they did. Today, Wyoming couldn’t be happier. She loves to run like the wind outside, and cuddle up at home with her family.
She even changed her new mom’s life for the better. Her mother, Margot, used to sit at home alone while her children went to school and her husband worked, but now she has a much more active life thanks to Wyoming.
Elby has a similar adoption story. After just three days in his new home, he is much happier. Its owner, Sara, says it looks very contented just walking in the sunshine.
Before getting Elby, Sara talked to her doctors and was thinking about getting a mental support animal. She was also very lonely, like Margot, but Elby helped change that for the better.
