3 American sailors missing near the coast of Mexico : NPR

The US Coast Guard and the Mexican Navy are searching for three American sailors who went missing more than 10 days ago in Mexico.
The three sailors — identified as Kerry O’Brien, Frank O’Brien and William Gross — are believed to have left Mazatlán, a city near the west coast of Mexico, in a 44-foot boat called the Ocean Bound on 4 April and headed to San Diego.
According to the Coast Guard, the three sailors had planned to stop at Cabo San Lucas, about 224 miles from Mazatlán, on April 6 to report before they continued their voyage.
“However, there is no record of their arrival at Cabo San Lucas or a report of their location,” the Coast Guard said. in a statement on Friday.

The Coast Guard added that search and rescue coordinators, who approached the marinas near Cabo San Lucas, did not receive any information about the boat.
Federal authorities are working with the Mexican navy to locate the three sailors.
