The long-rumored business class Delta One lounge network will soon become a reality.
Earlier this year, TPG learned that Delta would Open the first exclusive lounge at Terminal 4 of John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York, and with the latest news, the network will become two lines – with a twist.

The Atlanta-based carrier will open a new Delta One lounge at its hub in Los Angeles International Airport (LAX). The new 10,000 square foot facility will connect to the existing Sky Club when it opens in 2024.
In addition to the Delta One lounge, the airline is also building a brand new check-in facility exclusively for business class passengers.
This Delta One registration facility will be located on the arrivals floor of the new west terminal, opening in the first quarter of 2023.
The facility was purposely built so that guests can avoid traffic at the departure level, while creating a more private atmosphere upon check-in.
During check-in, you will enjoy a variety of drinks and snacks. After leaving your luggage and receiving your boarding pass, there will be direct elevators to secure lanes and the Delta One lounge (when it opens).
Delta has long offered a check-in facility exclusively to its most senior customers at LAX, and it looks like the new facility will be even better and more exclusive than the old one.
When asked if more of these facilities are going elsewhere, Scott Santoro, vice president of Delta in Los Angeles, told TPG to keep an eye on us. It wouldn’t be surprising if Delta launches something similar in JFK, but for now, the most exclusive departure experience will be limited to Los Angeles.
Delta is in the midst of a multi-year transformation at LAX, which includes an all-new departure and arrival experience at The recently opened Sky Way station complex.
Sky Way includes a refurbished check-in area, new security lanes, signature Sky Club and an aerial connection between Terminals 2 and 3. The upgraded facility brings many improvements. , but perhaps the biggest are the premium experiences.
For a, New 30,000 square foot Sky Club currently one of the most beautiful in the entire network. It features two buffets, a coffee cave lined with Italian mosaic tiles, a large bar, loads of seating areas and a year-round outdoor Sky Deck with stunning views of the ramp, runway and Hollywood Hills.
The club opened on April 20 at the same time as the main areas of the Sky Way terminal, although Delta’s LAX infrastructure is still a work in progress. The airline will open nine new doors in its Terminal 3 satellite facility, which will go online starting October 5.

While the new Sky Club at LAX is pretty impressive, there will be an even more exclusive lounge in the terminal when Delta One club opens.
The lounge is slated to open exclusively to passengers departing on long-haul flights in business class, and possibly passengers traveling on premium transit routes to New York and Boston will also be welcome.
Delta does not currently provide an experience comparable to similar experiences America’s Flagship Lounge and United Polaris Loungeboth offer an enhanced experience for long-haul business class passengers.
While the best Sky Clubs resemble the finest American and United lounges in terms of design, Delta member clubs are flawed. They are not exclusive, nor do they offer premium service experiences, which include a la carte dining or free liquor on the shelf.
That said, the latest Sky Clubs, including those in Los Angeles, Salt Lake City and New York physically quite impressive, so it will be interesting to see how Delta differentiates its business-only lounges.

When TPG first visited New LAX Sky Club back in April, the man behind Delta’s clubs, Claude Roussel, said that “we will tailor the experience to each location,” without going into specifics about the rumored space. on Sky Way is reserved for a future premium lounge.
High-end travelers are sure to be excited about the new lounge because if Delta’s work on their Sky Club network is any indication, we’re coming for a real meal with The new outposts are only for business class.
