a new one NieR Automata The promotional stunt held at the Animate Japanese store comes with a new look for its iconic characters. Animate Cafe’s new ad features the YoRHa 2B and 9S robots as maids and butlers serving customers. Animate Cafe promotion starts March 8, 2023 and will last until April 10, 2023.
Animate also previewed the illustration that will be used as the centerpiece of the ad.
Animate Cafe promotion to celebrate the recent release of NieR Automata v1.1a cartoon series. The series adapted from 2017 NieR Automata cartoon game. The trailer features redesigned anime-style images of 2B and 9S, playing a maid and a housekeeper. 2B wears a maid outfit that blends elements of her YoRHa outfit with popular maid outfits used in cosplay and anime character design. The results include such highlights as a long, loose-fitting dress with high-cut legs, corsets and socks, a ruffled hat and apron, and the signature YoRHa eyepatch. 9S’s butler costume is quite typical butler’s outfit, although using short pants and combined with 9S’s short gloves. In keeping with the cafe’s menu selection, maid 2B and housekeeper 9S are also shown serving donuts and tea or coffee.
Customers who visit will be able to enjoy the sweets available, as well as receive exclusive merchandise. The promotion will be available to customers on a per-book basis from March 8 to 12, but from April 13 to the end of the promotion on April 10, admission will be first served. The NieR Automata Animate Cafe promotion runs from March 8, 2023 to April 10, 2023 in Japan. Currently, only Animate’s Decotto Cafe branch will hold the promotion. Next episode of NieR Automata anime, episode 4, will continue to air on February 18, 2023, after a delay in production.
