Two years after releasing the BMW CE 04 electric scooter, the company is targeting a younger generation of city dwellers with the new BMW CE 02 2024. Described by BMW as an “eParkourer”, the CE 02 sits somewhere in between. an electric car. electric bicycles and scooters, designed to be practical yet playful in both performance and appearance.

The BMW CE 02 is available in two variants: an 11 kW (15 hp) version and a 4 kW (5 hp) version to meet the requirements for the AM driving license class for young drivers in Germany and other European countries. BMW claims a top speed of 59 mph and a range of 55 miles for the 11 kW version. The 4 kW motor has a top speed limited to 28 mph and a range of 28 miles.

The CE 02 comes standard with an external charger and a charging capacity of 0.9 kW and can be charged using a standard household outlet. The standard charging time from 20% to 80% is 2 hours 48 minutes for the 11 kW version and 1 hour 25 minutes for the 4 kW version. The Highline option pack comes with a 1.5 kW fast charger, which takes 1 hour 42 minutes to charge from 20% to 80% for the 11 kW version.
The youthful, fun aim of the CE 02 is further evident in the names of the two available riding modes: Flow and Surf. Flow Mode is designed for cruising, while Surf Mode is for exhilarating riding. There’s also a more dynamic Flash ride mode as part of the Highline option package.
The eParkourer’s frame consists of a two-ring tubular steel frame. It uses an upside-down telescopic fork with 4.6-inch travel up front and a side swingarm, and an adjustable shock absorber with 2.2-inch travel at the rear. The 11 kW version weighs in at 291 lb and the 4 kW version weighs in at 262 lb. The bench has an accessible height of 29.5 inches. It rides on 14-inch forged alloy wheels front and rear. Stopping force comes from a 239 mm front disc with standard ABS and a 220 mm rear disc.

Other features of the BMW CE 02 are a 3.5-inch TFT display and a USB-C charging socket. The CE 02 also connects to a smartphone via the BMW Motorrad Connected app to display charging end predictions and other information. The Highline option pack includes additional uses for the app, including the ability to use a smartphone (which is housed in a smartphone holder) as an additional display while driving and operating with a smartphone. keyboard on the steering wheel.
