2024 Peugeot 3008 launches more advanced i-Cockpit design

Next generation peugeot 3008 will be a fastback electric crossover, and the company has shown the world its interior.

At launch, the new 3008 will be the first Peugeot to feature the brand’s latest interior design, dubbed the Panoramic i-Cockpit, which will then be widely available throughout the lineup.

The Panoramic i-Cockpit aligns with the aircraft-inspired dashboard design of current Peugeots, with the multi-tiered theme still part of the new look.

Unlike most other brands, where the driver looks through the steering wheel into the gauges area, the i-Cockpit setup features instruments located above the steering wheel, eliminating the need for a display on head.

The instrument display and infotainment touchscreen are now located in a 21.0-inch curved screen area that leans towards the driver, but is still accessible to the front passenger.

A partial trim strip of the same body color surrounds the doors, behind the display area and across the top of the dashboard.

Below this is a large strip of fabric, on which sits the piano black control case vent, buttons for controlling the automatic transmission, and a smaller i-Toggles touchscreen that can hold up to 10 custom buttons. adjust on the screen.

Like the dashboard, the center console has a split-level design, with the side closest to the driver gently protruding to meet the dashboard, forming an armrest and housing the electronic parking brake, volume rocker, drive mode selector and a dash of climate control.

On the lower part of the panel there is a cup holder and storage area.

The steering is two-spoke with piano black capacitive buttons on the spokes. According to Peugeot, these buttons will not activate until they are intentionally pressed.

Ambient light stretches across the entire dashboard and along the doors, reflecting off the real aluminum trim. Drivers can choose from one of eight ambient light colors.

Since Peugeot launched its first production car with the i-Cockpit 10 years ago, the company has sold around 10 million vehicles equipped with aircraft-inspired interiors.
