2023 Yamaha “Tech Art” Doxou Y16ZR limited edition is now available in Malaysia, only 5,000 units, priced at RM 11,818
This year in Malaysia, Hong Leong Yamaha Motor (HLYM) has launched a limited edition “Tech Art” Doxou Y16ZR 2023, priced at RM11,818. follow Yamaha Y16ZR Doxou 2021 Priced at RM11,688, this year’s Doxou bike from HLYM features different graphics and will be produced in a limited run of just 5,000 units.
The name Doxou comes from the Japanese word “dokusou”, which means to create and to be ahead of others. For 2023, the “Tech Art” Doxou Y16ZR comes with front and rear alloy wheels painted in cyan highlighting the sporty nature of the Y16ZR, and also comes with a limited edition Y16ZR Sports Fender, a commemorative Y16ZR logo with version number and special ‘Thank-You’ inscription ‘ certificate.
Apart from the graphics and colors, the “Tech Art” Doxou Y16ZR is mechanically identical to the standard model. Yamaha Y16ZR priced at RM11,118 for 2023. A 10mm shorter clutch lever is mounted on the Doxou Y16ZR, making it easier for the driver to grip when shifting gears.
Power comes from a 4-valve, DOHC, liquid-cooled engine with variable valve timing (VVA), capacity of 155 cc, capacity of 17.7 hp at 9,500 rpm and maximum torque of 14, 4 Nm at 8,000 rpm. The six-speed transmission is equipped with a power-assisted clutch and anti-slip clutch and a chain-link final transmission sends power to the rear wheels.
Braking is done with two-piston calipers and a 245mm disc at the front while the rear wheel is braked with a single disc and hydraulic brake caliper. The fuel tank has a capacity of 5.4 liters with a published weight of 119 kg and a seat height of 795 mm. The front tire size is 90/80-17 and the rear is 120/70-17.
LED lighting is used throughout and the LCD panel displays essential information. Each Doxou Y16ZR “Tech Art” comes with a two-year or 20,000 km warranty against manufacturing defects.
