Yes, you read that right, electric, gas powered Dodge Challenger and Charger going to the end of the road. Production will end at the Brampton, Ontario, plant in December 2023. The good news is that the Ontario plant will build something else in the future. The bad news is we’re losing some charismatic cars. Avoid at least send the cars in style, put back coloradd special edition models and even work with third parties to deliver The Challenger switch can switch.
Then arguably the biggest news. Starting August 16, potential Challenger buyers will be able to ride a Dodge seller to order a Challenger convertible, something the automaker has never done from the factory. Dodge itself hasn’t yet, but customer-ordered cars will be delivered Top clearance drop, a company that has been doing the conversion for 46 years, will be revised. The conversion adds chassis reinforcements and a hydraulic roof. The soft top is insulated and has rear glass windows. It’s available for the 2022 and upcoming 2023 models. Available trims start at R/T and go up from there. So you can have a Hellcat droptop if you want. Once the conversion is complete, it will be sent back to the customer’s local Dodge dealer for collection. However, it won’t be cheap. The conversion cost is $25,999 more the price of the vehicle being converted. Ours calculatea base R/T convertible will cost just over $66,000.
Followed by a series of special editions Charger and Challenger models. There will be seven of them in total, available across a variety of trims. They will be revealed over the next few months, with the most unique model on display at SEMA. They’re all inspired by previous Dodge models, and they’ll be available at Dodge bestsellers nationwide. Dodge will publish a list where all of these models are being allocated, along with the full 2023 production run to help buyers find examples.
Finally, the Challengers and Chargers are getting some special imaging treatment for 2023. All models are part of “Last Call” as Dodge puts it, and they’ll have arrays under the hood. display the model name and phrase “Designed in Auburn Hills” and “Assembled in Brampton.” R/T models are badged “345” on the outside, indicating dimensions in cubic inches. of the 5.7-liter V8 they come with. Four popular colors are making a comeback: B5 Blue, Plum Crazy, Sublime and Destroyer Grey. And, Jailbreak special version will be available on regular Hellcat models, rather than just Redeyes.
