VW is making it easier for enthusiasts to customize Volkswagen GTI 2022 exterior design. It cooperates with some after-sales companies, including one that has been tuning into hot trends for decades, to expand its portfolio of factory-backed accessories.
Acknowledge that many owners modify GTI, the Wolfsburg-based company worked with Oettinger to give the eighth-generation model a more aggressive look. That’s a big deal: Oettinger is one of the most respected regulators in the Volkswagen cosmos, and it built some of the most anticipated versions of the first generation GTI in the 1970s and 1980s. Buyers can order a tights including a front splitter, a roof-mounted spoiler and a rear diffuser. These parts can be painted and installed by Volkswagen seller or by an independent business.
GTI owners who want to be seen even when it’s dark outside can opt for the Osram door mirror caps with integrated sequential LED turn signals. Shown in the showroom above, these turn signals can be installed by any authorized Volkswagen dealer and require no electronic modification.
The final accessory announced by Volkswagen is a set of self-balancing wheel hubs that keep the vehicle upright even while the vehicle is in motion. One set with GTI logo; another one designed for More powerful Golf R and feature the R part logo. These parts join a relatively large range of parts supplied by Volkswagen, including rubber floor matsBumperdillo and rearview mirror are frameless.
Now on sale nationwide, the Oettinger splitter, air filter, and diffuser are priced at $510, $510, and $591 respectively. Adding sequential LED turn signals to your GTI will cost you even more. $265 excluding labor, while a set of four self-leveling hub caps costs $181.
