2022 BMW iX3 M Sport Impressive price up RM3k in Malaysia – EV now from RM319k OTR with SST discount
Pricing for the BMW iX3 has been revised in Malaysia, with the higher-spec Impression variant now costing RM3,000 more than what we reported in mid-March this year. At the time, online pre-orders for the electric SUV were opened for a fee of RM5,000, and those interested could still place an order.
With the latest pricing (effective March 14, 2022 at the time of writing), the Impressive variant is currently retailing at RM318,608.94 on-road without insurance, which includes a two-year, unlimited-km base warranty as well as ongoing sales and service tax (SST) rebate valid until June 30, 2022 – 50% because the iX3 is an import-model (CBU).
The new price is RM3,000 more than the RM3,608.94 previously listed by BMW Malaysia, and the same is true if you want the extended 5-year warranty and 5-year/100,000 km service pack, which makes price up to RM334.248.94 (formerly RM331,248.94).
As for the Inspiring variant, its price remains unchanged at RM298.354.69 with the basic warranty plan or RM133,994.69 with the extended warranty and service plan. Both variants are also offered with Power Pack (22 kW home AC box and Type 2 charging cable) which will cost an extra RM5,000.
Keep in mind that these prices affect the Government’s exemption from import duties, excise taxes and road taxes on electric vehicles (EVs), making iX3 is cheaper – equal to RM10,200 for Inspired and now RM8,200 for Impression.
Both variants have a rear-mounted electric motor for 210 kW (286 PS) and 400 Nm of torque, capable of accelerating from 0-100 km/h in 6.8 seconds and top speed. Electronic multi-limiter is 180 km/h.
The e-motor is powered by a 73.8 kWh lithium-ion battery providing a range of 453 to 461 km on the WLTP cycle. Charging takes about seven and a half hours with a maximum AC charge of 11 kW, but with a DC fast charger of up to 150 kW, you can charge from 0-80% in just 32 minutes.
The base Inspiring comes with the M Sport package, adaptive LED headlights, 19-inch Style 842 aero-alloy wheels, Vernasca leather seats, Sensatec faux leather dashboard, and brushed aluminum interior trim. with Pearl Chrome finisher and galvanized switches.
Other features include keyless entry, push-button start, adaptive dampers, power front seats with heating and driver-side memory, and three-zone automatic climate control. , Qi wireless charger, panoramic glass sunroof, parking assist with Reverse Assist, 12-speaker audio system, 205 watts of power, reversing camera and hands-free tailgate.
The Impressive model builds on the Inspiring by adding Laserlight headlights, 20-inch Style 890 M staggered alloys, a front-view display screen, front acoustic glass windows, gesture controls, system 16-speaker, 464-watt Harmon Kardon audio system, 360-degree camera system and IconicSounds Electric synthetic driving sound.
The Driving Assistant Professional package is standard on both and includes automatic emergency braking, avoidance assist, adaptive cruise control at stop and go, lane center assist, blind spot monitoring, and sea recognition. traffic alert, emergency stop assist and adaptive high beam. There is also an audible pedestrian warning system and Active Guard.
