If you constantly switch foods, your dog will always get sick. Hamburger or boiled chicken with rice until clear. Then add a good dog food to the rice mixture until all is dog food. Sudden changes in diet will always upset them. Absolutely no board scraps

My 11:5 year old Black Lab has a history of abdominal pain. Tried all the usual home remedies like chicken and rice etc all worked until I found This amazing tool!!! Honestly, when he has a stomach ache and has a bowel movement, I give him this and he’ll be back to normal within a day. It’s like it’s magic!!! I wish I had known about it years ago.

Your dog seems to be allergic to the food you feed him. Lakota keeps having diarrhea. He will get over it and get it back the next day. So I took him to the vet. We did an allergy panel to figure out what was wrong. My dog is allergic to Pinto Beans. He is eating Origen made from Pinto beans. Stop giving him that kind of food and I don’t give him any other foods with pinto beans, kidneys etc. You need to go to the vet and get taken care of. My other GSD is allergic to Soy or Peas. All dog medications such as heartworms, fleas, and ticks in pill form contain soy. He will have the worst ear infection. Well, now he’s medicated for fleas, ticks, and heartworms. No more ear problems. Allergies actually play an important role in a dog’s health. Spend money now, find and fix the problem. My vet knew that Thunder’s problems were something he ingested and not an external irritant, so he helped me narrow it down. Good luck and God help you.

You cannot continue to exchange food! Not good for the stomach. Purina with salmon Good food for dogs. Try that. A lot of labs can’t digest chicken, so stay away from that for now.

When I brought my 4-year-old home, I had the same problem. I switched to Pstomach sensitive urina Pro Plan. Haven’t had a problem since then. My new girl eats the same food and I never had a problem.

Burnt dog food is excellent, they are very sensitive to Tums. Also the particle version is free! Some boxers develop pancreatitis, which is common in this breed, so if you see blood or ongoing diarrhea make sure your dog is on a low fat diet that’s less than 8% fat? ! Old fashioned Chappie is good for pancreatitis

Boil chicken and split white rice until the diarrhea stops. Then feed the chicken and rice again in small portions until fully back to the puppy food. We use Hills Gastro-biome . Prescription Diet. It helped a lot. Talk to your vet.

My lab was treated for colitis, then also needed GI feed from the vet for a while for the abdomen and stools to return to normal and the feed change to royal dog Later. If diarrhea persists for more than a few days, it’s best to see your veterinarian. Trying a bland diet like chicken and rice or burgers can only upset the stomach

Let the dog fast for 24 hours. Only water is allowed. After 24 hours of fasting, start feeding a mixture of boiled white chicken (with all the skin and fat removed and drained) and cooked long grain white rice. Boiled ground beef, defatted and drained, is also a good alternative. The ratio of the rice to chicken/beef combo would be 2 to 1. In other words, if you wanted to feed your dog a total of one cup of food, they would get 1/3 cup of chicken mixed with 2/3 cup of food. rice . Offer several small meals a day instead of one or two large meals. You can also go to the office to buy a bland diet food on prescription. You will go on a bland diet until you start to see normal bowel movements or until you don’t see a bowel movement for a day.

My lab is allergic to chicken, chicken meal, and by-products. Switch to Wild Salmon Flavor and problem solved. Every dog is different though. Probiotics help, I like the Doggie Dailies brand. Definitely talk to your vet first. Start with a bland diet of white rice and cheese to put an end to diarrhea.

Had the same issue again and again with the vet for 7 months, they were repeatedly advised to give regular chicken and rice but thought the chicken was a problem. After trying 3 different brands over 7 months, she is the best with this. It’s for sensitive tummy and fish based. Oh and recommend it in small and frequent quantities instead of 1 or 2 bowls so that the delicacy can get used to without needing many times
