Finally, it would be remiss if we didn’t talk about the Amazon members-only event, main day. The annual “holiday” has outperformed both Black Friday and Cyber Monday in previous years, but not every Prime Day deal is actually a bargain. Even outside of Prime Day, Amazon Prime members are still eligible for the special offer member-only discount. That could mean a few bucks off your portable charger, a 20% off coupon for dog food, or better prices on new Amazon devices. Individual discounts vary, but we see these types of deals quite often—and, as with Prime Day, not all of them are good.
Quick access early offer
Both on and off special events like Prime Day and Black Friday, Prime members get early access to Choose Flash Deals. You will be able to shop 30 minutes before other customers. Whether or not the Lightning Deal is worth your money is a whole other discussion, but it’s a perk worth checking out.
No rush reward
If you don’t need your order to arrive immediately, sometimes at checkout you’ll see a Free No Rush Shipping option. Normally, choose Shipping is not rushed get you free $1 worth of digital credits to use on things like eBooks, digital games, movies and the like. Rewards sometimes expire after a certain time. I used No-Rush credits to get up to $10 off digital games on release day. Since video game discounts are rare, especially right after release, this can be lucrative if you time it right (and don’t bother waiting for your purchase to arrive).
Grubhub+
Amazon Prime members are eligible for a free year Grubhub+, which includes free shipping on orders over $12, plus a bunch of Prime-exclusive discounts at various restaurants throughout the year. Membership renews at $10 per month after signing up for a free year. If you haven’t redeemed this offer before, do so by July 5, 2023 to get two years free.
Fresh Amazon
Fresh Amazon allows you to order groceries through Amazon and have them delivered to your door. It’s not available in all regions, but it’s another way to shop if you’re trying to avoid in-person trips. You can also select products from Whole Foods through Amazon Fresh. My mom uses Amazon Fresh to deliver groceries to my schoolboy brother, hoping that he’ll eat at least one vegetable that’s not in the pizza. Slightly confusing, there are similarly named physics Amazon Fresh Grocery Store in some cities.
From Amazon buys Whole Foods Over the past few years, you can often find selections from Whole Foods store brands in Amazon’s grocery offerings. It can be a great way to try something new or stock up on items you already like.
amazon household
For family, amazon household is a good way to share benefits among many people. You can share membership privileges with two adults, four teenagers, and four adults. Parents can use Amazon Household to approve teen orders or set up parental controls over kids’ content.
Amazon’s First Read
Every month, Prime members can pay Amazon’s First Read. Those are two free curated Kindle books. Non-Prime members can get two of their books for $2 each. Again, you can read Kindle books even if you don’t have a Kindle device, thanks to Free app Available for phones and computers. We also have a shopping guide to help you choose the right Kindle.
Prime Minister reads
In addition to First Reads, Prime members get access to tons of Kindle books through Prime Minister reads. There are over a thousand items to choose from. In addition to books, you can access audiobooks and magazines, plus comics via mixed studies. Main game
Every month, Prime members are eligible for various rewards through Main game (formerly known as Twitch Prime). This discount used to be much better, but still worth a look if you’re looking for a new video game on the market. Sometimes Prime members can get $10 off when they pre-order a game. Eligible title appeared here when they are available. Some video games also have Free Shipping Dates—you just need to look for that shipping option when pre-ordering the game.
Try before you buy
Buying clothes online can be a daunting process. Try before you buy (formerly Master Wardrobe) offers a selection of items you can try on at home before committing. Pick out what you want and you’ll get it in a week. If it’s a winner, you can keep it. If it doesn’t fit perfectly, you can return the items for free. I prefer to use this method when the items are already on sale, because the price you’ll pay if you decide to keep something doesn’t depend on the price at checkout.
Unlimited online photo storage
Prime members get access to unlimited full-resolution photo storage and 5 gigabytes of video storage. You can store, printand share photos using the Amazon Photos app and back everything up to the cloud. If your account ever lost Prime status, it will cost you at least $2 per month to keep storing your photos and videos, so this is not your account. main backup method. Prime Minister RX Discounts for certain customers on prescription drugs. It’s a prescription savings card that can be used at pharmacies nationwide, including Amazon Pharmacy. These savings programs are nothing new — and one could argue that providing Amazon with information about your drugs adds another layer of privacy concerns.
