$2.54 billion needed to address unprecedented health needs by 2023: WHO

Tedros appeals

“This unprecedented convergence of crises demanded an unprecedented response,” said Tedros. “More than ever, more people are facing imminent risk of illness and starvation and need help now. The world cannot look away and hope these crises will resolve on their own.”

By 2022, WHO assistance to communities along with national and local governments, NGOs and civil society organizations includes medicines and other critical supplies, training created for health professionals, vaccines, enhanced disease surveillance, mobile clinics, mental health support, maternal health counseling and much more.
