A 14 year old boy has arrest earlier this month after he was caught trying Kia Boys-esque stunt actor on a Hyundai in North Texas, according to Fox 4 Dallas-Fort Worth. After he was taken into custody, police realized he was tied up with at least 38 other people. TikTok-inspired car theft and break-in in the area.
Police in Plano, TX says the teen was trying to steal another car when the homeowner realized what was going on and called the authorities. They blame lame pantse Kia Boys trend on TikTok for teaching him how to target and steal these cars. Police also say they believe the teen did not act alone. Unfortunately, the police didn’t offer much of a solution to the problem other than— and I’m paraphrasing — try a little harder to not have your car stolen.
“We want to harden the target,” Officer Jennifer Chapman told FOX4. We want them to unlock the wheels, download software updates, and that way if someone is looking inside your car they won’t see it as an easy opportunity to commit a crime. This.”
