14 people arrested for group theft from high-end stores in Los Angeles
The property theft parallel workgroups “used weapons and force to overwhelm and intimidate store employees and other patrons” in 11 cases between November 18 and 28, police Los Angeles Mayor Michel Moore announced during a press conference Thursday.
Not all recent group thefts have targeted high-end stores, as there have been similar crimes against pharmacies and cannabis dispensaries.
“These crimes are characterized by multiple suspects working together and coordinating cases involving vandalism, assault on store employees and convoys parked very close to the stores,” said Mr. high end retail.
All 14 suspects in the Los Angeles crime cases are no longer in custody, Mr. Moore said. Some suspects still exist.
According to Moore, the stolen property was worth about $338,000 and property damage was more than $40,000.
