12 Best Weighted Blankets (2023): Cool, Throw, and Robe

As weighted blankets become popular, more and more companies are popping up with options. Most of the ones we’ve tried are worth recommending, including all the ones here.

Quiet Cooling Weight Blanket for $40-$50: A lot of budget weight blankets are disappointing. This, though, really surprised me. Unfortunately, it’s almost always out of stock. If you can find it, you’ll feel great cuddling underneath and it’s heavy enough. There’s a soft side and a cold side (that’s really stay pretty cool when you’re lying with it). Available in 15 or 20 pounds

Thera Weighted Blanket for $149-$199: We like several Thera products and this blanket is possibly the softest thing I’ve ever touched, like petting a furry animal. However, after the first few weeks I used it, it ripped and let glass beads take over my bed like sand. I think kitten claws are the best, so keep that in mind and handle it carefully. Its Return within 15 days If you are not satisfied with it (minus the shipping cost). Available in 10, 12, or 15 pounds

Aricove Weighted Blanket for $170: This is a great cooling blanket for sleeping alone. It’s nice and thin, so you won’t feel stuck or overheated underneath. Aricove’s offer Return in 30 days. Available in 10, 12, 15, 17 or 20 pounds

Casper Weighted Blanket for $169-$189: Casper is another popular bedding brand whose blankets are classic, cool cotton rather than knitted or plush, which can get hot. About the size of a blanket, it’s thick enough that even the lightest model will give you a comfortable feeling, while the heaviest model is like the Human Thunder Jacket. Casper offers Return in 30 days. Available in 10, 15 or 20 pounds

Layla Weighted Blanket for $189-$239: Most of our options come in multiple sizes, but Layla offers an oversized version, if you want to cuddle someone else. It is usually discounted and can be returned within 120 days. Available in 15, 20, or 25 pounds

Yogibo Calm Antibacterial Weight Blanket for $159: The blanket is actually cool cotton fabric, but the real draw here is Yogibo’s famous cotton and spandex blend that it uses to make the duvet cover. The brand says it’s super soft and it doesn’t lie. It’s stretchy, smooth, and machine washable (the actual blanket isn’t). However, I do find that pet hair really clings to it, which is often the case with softer fabrics. It says it has an antibacterial treatment to keep it “fresher longer”. You can return it within 14 days. Available in 15 pounds

Gravid Weighted Blanket for $189-$199: This blanket comes with a plush or cooling layer (or both) and that’s where it shines. There’s nothing worse than a blanket with just a few attachment points, only to have, after a few minutes underneath, everything twist and turn to one side. Gravid’s blanket is attached with a zipper that runs the entire length of the blanket. Why other brands don’t do this is besides me. Available in 15 or 20 pounds
