As long as I can remember, I’ve been inclined Red. I’m light rosacea, so red is basically my middle name. Spicy food, intense exercise, a relaxing glass of wine, a little anxiety, a light breeze, Tuesday—basically, you name it, and it irritates my skin.
I’ve always assumed this was a personal issue that I had to deal with. Until I read one Reseller Instagram post About an editor’s battle with blush and seeing hundreds of comments I realized this was a common problem. To be product hoarders that I (don’t judge), I have tested every formula on the market that is advertised as reducing redness, anti-inflammatory, neutralizing, soothing, etc.so i thought i should share the knowledge i got.
Below, I do a hands-on breakdown with all of these options and give my honest reviews of the best redness-reducing skin care products—basically, which products help and which ones? Which is a waste of time (and money). I rate each product on a five-star scale, and only two were awarded five stars. Now, I’m talking seriously about skin care here, not makeup to cover the rosy look. If you want another story on that (or just want to discuss this further as I could really talk about this all day), please slide into my DM here.
