It felt weird at first, and I think the silicone texture really gave me a headache because of course, I’m used to regular bristle brushes and sponges.
As Bynum mentioned, I find it really hard to blend because it feels slippery, and my foundation feels like it’s moving across my face rather than sinking in and staying put. It was also difficult to blend it all over my face, but as I got better at circular motions, I started to understand it. Circular motion is key! After many rounds of circular motion, I realized that would be as good as I wanted, so I patted the excess with my hands. Plus, the double-sided features of the Elf’s sponge make this even easier — I used the base layer to blend everything evenly.
Although the silicone sponge was a little awkward for me (especially since it’s my first!), I found that I used the product less than when I used a sponge or table. ordinary brush. A little goes a long way, especially since it helps the product glide over the skin. And I love how easy it is to clean.
