Simple and chic, the sleek high bun is my go-to for those days when I want to look good without spending unnecessary time or effort styling my hair. Sometimes, I love gorgeous twists, locks, or braids, but sometimes, the hair just needs to be kept up and messed up. If possible, start with freshly washed and moisturized hair. Using the end of the comb, divide the hair into two large sections. Apply a substantial amount of gel to your curls, then comb back the springs with enough force, making sure the hair is lying down and can be pulled back into a ponytail.
Here’s the easy part: pull the rest of your curls into a quick bun by making sure everything is neatly tucked away. Use hairpins to hold your bun, sliding them into an “X” shape for a stronger hold. Time for your edges! Use the edge control and styling tools and spend extra time styling them as you like. Remember: The key to achieving perfect edges is not to rush!
