Snow is an oath to some, but others see it as a blank canvas to be sculpted into a work of art.
Most people can make a snowman or make a snow angel out of fine white powder, but artists create masterpieces. They defied the bitter cold to create something that would put a smile on the faces of all who saw it – knowing it would eventually fade away.
Large blocks of snow are kneaded with various tools and come to life. Artists are inspired by many things, including animals. Check out 10 impressive animal snow sculptures below.
Man’s best friend
Whoever created it did a great job. It looks like a dog, obviously scared. Woolypaws posted it on Instagram and one follower was left speechless.

Artist jeibool has designed many animals from snow and ice. The elk looks very realistic!
Dog mascot
A brokerage in Colorado introduced a mascot dog named Bogey made from snow. The dog even has its own bowl with a bone in it.
Rabbit
Together, three artists have created a collection of animals carved in the snow at Riding Mountain National Park in Canada. They are featured along a system of skating trails for all visitors to enjoy.

Three brothers in Minnesota have been creating animal snow sculptures for years and raising money for One Day’s Wages, an organization focused on providing clean water to people in Uganda and Niger. Artists ask viewers to donate $25 to see a close-up of their amazing creations, and 100% of the money raised goes to charity.
