Over the past few weeks, we’ve discovered Parkour is based on the breathtaking magic of Forspoken, and the game of intense combat system. Today, we’ll give you a glimpse into Athia’s own world!
When Frey Holland is brought to this new land, she quickly discovers that behind its beauty lies a twisted brutality. A phenomenon known as Break has ravaged the land, turning humans and animals alike into ferocious, growling beasts.
As one of the only creatures seemingly unaffected by this terrifying decay, Frey descends to explore the vast landscapes of this ruined world, uncover its secrets, and even have can be its savior.
It’s a big job and there’s a lot to keep her busy – Athia is full of things to explore, from Monuments and Photo Locations that will test your parkour skills, to hidden dungeons filled with mighty enemies. You can preview what to expect in our latest in-depth video:

Monuments are found all over the broken world of Athia, and it’s well worth finding them!
These sacred stones still hold some of Tantas’ power, and if Frey can free them from Break’s spoilage, she’ll be heavily rewarded with her stat boosts! Each monument offers a different boost – some can give you more health, others increase your defense, magic power, or more.
Of course, while liberating these relics is simple, liberating them is not. Some are easy to find, but others are placed in hard to reach areas that will test your mastery of Frey’s parkour skills.
It’s worth the effort, though, because that extra power might just be the edge you need in the battles ahead…
Some monuments hold a challenge called Remembrance. These take you back to an earlier point in Athia’s history, so you can experience for the first time how Break has affected the world.
The exact nature of these challenges can vary – some require you to kill enemies within a time limit, defend citizens against hordes of enemies, or reach your destination in parkour as quickly as possible.
Completing Flashbacks will give you Mana (to unlock new spells) and other rewards. You can replay Flashbacks directly from the map screen – the better you do, the higher the rewards, so keep trying until you’ve earned everything on offer!
These beautiful lakes are found around the world and grant Frey a blessing that enhances her magical skills. You’ll be thrilled whenever you find them, because they’re an important way to expand Frey’s skills, giving her brand new spells to work in her repertoire. me.
They have resonance, so you’ll know if one is nearby. However, it is up to you to actually locate it. Remember – Forspoken rewards the curious and observant.
Another way to level up Frey’s spells is through Spellcraft Challenges.
Inside the Refuges (a safe space where Frey can rest and craft items) you’ll find ancient books. These missions you use your abilities in a variety of ways – for example, doing a certain parkour move into your horizontal line multiple times, hitting multiple enemies with a single attack and multiple challenges difference.
Completing Spellcraft Challenges allows you to make your abilities even more powerful. They’re also a great way to explore the magic system in Forspoken – they can inspire you to use abilities in ways you’ve never thought of before…
When you explore Athia, you will sometimes collect Old Coins. They can be found in locked chests or hidden in the nooks and crannies of scenic spots.
You can spend these coins at trading points to get valuable items that can enhance your crafting and more.
Certain people in Cipal will also occasionally request special items from around the world. If you can find it and give it to them, they will reward you for your efforts.
Hidden under the ground, all over the world, are locked Labyrinths. These are very dangerous places to explore – including large rooms and zigzag corridors containing valuable items, crafting materials, and some very dangerous monsters.
You’ll have to use all of your fighting skills, and sometimes some creative parkour, to get past the powerful little boss lurking within. Beating it won’t be easy, but it will be well worth it.
In some safe spaces, such as The Shady Tree pub in Cipal, you can try rolling the Partha.
Parthas are dice-like objects, made from animal bones, and if they land on a symbol, they give Frey useful powers. For example, roll a spear, and her magical abilities will be boosted, while a seed gives her the ability to restore health.
Sadly, these impulses are only temporary, but they can make all the difference when you’re out on Break.
Give a thought to the poor children of Athia. Once they had the whole world to run around, but thanks to Break’s spoiled communication, they are now trapped within the walls of Cipal city.
They wanted nothing more than to see what the afterlife looked like, and Frey was the perfect woman to show them.
You’ll find photo spots around the world that highlight this world’s awe-inspiring architecture and stunning landscapes. Use parkour to hit these spots and get the perfect shot.
The more pictures you take of kids, the more features you’ll unlock for photo mode.
Magic cats! Adorable, fuzzy magic cats!
Familiar people of Tantas are often found around special monuments. If you want to befriend them – and again, they’re magic cats, so why wouldn’t you? – you will have to be very careful.
These mystical forgers are pretty sneaky, so you’ll have to approach them delicately. If you win their trust, they’ll move to the hideout, so you can hang out with them anytime!
The Break has ravaged Forspoken’s world mutating its beasts, creating fearsome monsters full of fury and ferocity. But among these menacing killers are even more corrupt beings – a sort of ultimate Divine Beast.
One must believe in the sheer scale and power of these creatures. They are perfect predators… and Frey is their prey.
Luckily, she wasn’t completely helpless. If you manage to take down one of these super powerful enemies, you will be greatly rewarded.
Once you’ve located one of these creatures, you can take it over at any time. Just get ready – these represent some of the biggest challenges in the game. Only those with the best equipment, the strongest spells, and the skills to use them will survive.
