You can now earn Alaska Plan miles on Lyft . rides
There’s great news for Alaska Mileage Plan members go on Lyft: Two companies have launch a partnership allows Mileage Plan members to earn valid Alaska miles on all Lyft rides in the United States and Canada.
Here’s what you need to know about this new partnership, first reported by One mile at a time.
Earn Alaska Miles Riding Lyft
You can earn 1 mile per dollar on all Lyft rides in the US and Canada.
However, through December 31, Mileage Plan members will earn 2 miles for every dollar spent on all Lyft rides in the US and Canada.
Members will need to link their Lyft and Alaska accounts at AlaskaLyft.com. Once your accounts are linked, you’ll automatically start earning Alaska miles on all of your Lyft rides in the US and Canada. Best of all, there’s no limit to how many miles you can earn.
Remember that you’ll only earn Alaska miles on top of the base fare of your Lyft ride, so ancillary fees like tolls, taxes, and driver tips won’t earn you extra miles. .

Selection of the best Lyft awarding partner
Lyft riders can earn points and miles in one of three point currencies. You can change your reward partner by going into the Lyft app and tapping the three horizontal lines in the top left corner. Then select “reward” and “change travel partner” to switch between Honorable Hilton, Delta SkyMiles and Alaska Mileage Plan.
Here are your reward options including the rewards you can get on your rides based on Valuation of TPG:
Hilton Honors, up to $10,000 per year:
- 3 Hilton Honors points for every dollar spent on private Lyft rides in the US (1.8% profit).
- 2 Hilton Honors points for every dollar spent on shared Lyft rides in the US (1.2% profit).
Delta SkyMiles:
- 2 Delta SkyMiles per dollar spent on airport Lyft trips in the US (2.82 percent return).
- 1 Delta SkyMile for every dollar spent on Lyft trips outside of airports in the US (1.41 percent profit).
Alaska Mileage Plan:
- 2 miles Alaska Mileage Plan per dollar spent on all Lyft rides in 2022 in the US and Canada (3.6% profit).
- 1 Alaska Mileage Plan for every dollar spent on all Lyft rides in the US and Canada (1.8% yield).
Again, you can only choose one reward partner. With a lot sweet spots in the Alaska Mileage Planand since Alaska Plan miles are non-transferable from major credit card transferable currencies, I’m switching my preferred Lyft rewards partner to Alaska Route Plan.
