Ferrari SF90 Versione Speciale: Special supercar leaked

by Ferrari Dip into the mixture SF90 Supercar has leaked in what is being called Special version guise – and yes, the name means what you think.

Wild limited run variant, possibly bearing a different name, was followed by an undisguised Instagram account ProDriverCZ.

The SF90’s plug-in hybrid powertrain – consisting of a twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 and three electric motors – will be tuned to produce outputs in excess of 1000 hp (746 kW).

For reference, the regular SF90 produces 735 kW of power and 800 Nm of torque, helping to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in just 2.5 seconds.

A variety of visual modifications can be seen in these images, including a large fixed rear spoiler for greater downforce.

We can also see a more prominent front splitter, as well as more pronounced fenders, side skirts and a larger rear diffuser.

You also won’t miss it at night, thanks to what appears to be a full-width light bar in place of the standard car’s squared quad taillights.

Expect changes to be made to both improve the SF90’s aerodynamic performance and reduce its weight.

The SF90 is Ferrari’s first plug-in hybrid, entering production in 2019.

It has a 7.9 kWh lithium-ion battery and three electric motors. Two of these engines are located on the front axle, with the third in the rear between the engine and transmission.
