After color update for MT-25, 2024 Yamaha MT-15 receive the option of a new paint scheme in Malaysia, with a price set at RM12,498, an increase of RM200 compared to the 2022/2023 price. The new color option for the MT-15 this year is Midnight Cyan while Midnight Black is carried over.
It is expected that the updated MT-15 will be available immediately at authorized dealer showrooms of Hong Leong Yamaha. Every MT-15 purchased comes with a two-year or 20,000km warranty against manufacturing defects and a free disc lock worth RM100.
Otherwise, there are no changes to the MT-15 with power coming from a 155 cc, liquid-cooled, SOHC single-cylinder, variable valve actuation engine that produces 19 horsepower at 10,000 rpm and maximum torque of 14.7 Nm at 8,500 rpm. A six-speed transmission, with slider and assist clutch and chain final drive turns the rear wheel.
The suspension uses inverted forks with gold-plated fork legs at the front and a preload-adjustable monoshock at the rear. The MT-15’s braking system is performed by a single hydraulic disc on the front and rear wheels, 17-inch wheels, 110/7-0 front and 140/70 rear tires.
The fuel tank holds 10.4 liters of fuel and the weight of the MT-15 is said to be 133 kg, with seat height set at 810 mm. The monochrome LCD dashboard displays all the necessary information with an LED lighting system used for the head and tail lights.
