SpaceX Starship rocket launch failed to wipe out nearby cars

Recently, SpaceX attempted to launch the world’s tallest and most powerful rocket into space, before it exploded in what the company calls an “unexpected rapid assembly.”

That wasn’t the only carnage that Starship caused.

The launch pad, located in Bora Chica, Texas, was severely damaged, as was a nearby Dodge Grand Caravan that is understood to belong to NASA Spaceflight, a news organization that covers space travel.

Debris from takeoff flew more than 500 meters along with a large chunk of concrete into the rear of the Dodge passenger van, destroying its tailgate and rear roof.

Debris can also be seen smashing through the windows and on the bonnet. A large puddle of liquid underneath the mover also appeared after the smoke cleared, possibly engine coolant.

The Dodge was positioned among a bunch of camera equipment left behind to capture the launch.

It seems like no one is around thanks to the protocols that ensure everyone deletes the site during launch.

Various pieces of debris can also be seen falling into the ocean some 600m away.

The rocket has 33 main engines with about 17 million pounds of thrust, twice the capacity of Nasa’s SLS rocket.
