Yahoo DFS Week 11 Picks: NFL DFS roster tips for daily fantasy football GPP tournaments

We’re running with a three-headed backcourt as the backbone of our squad this week. Christian McCaffrey and Dalvin Cook have sky-high salaries, but also have some attractive mid-range players. Typically, we accept the volatility that comes with the all-or-nothing GPP strategy for our Yahoo DFS Week 11 product line.

Again, since we’re playing in GPP tournaments, a lot of our picks are essentially boom or bust. We’d rather fall than make “safe” picks and end up with a lineup that is unlikely to be profitable if things go right.

RANKING STANDARD WEEK 11:
Midfielder | Run back | Wide receiver | Tight ending | VND / ST | Kicker

Before we break down our selections, just to reiterate some key rules for Yahoo DFS. It’s basically the same as FanDuel, with TDs pass four points and Half point PPR.

WEEK 11 PPR ASSESSMENT:

Main Sunday, $200 budget, no more than six players from the same team.

WEEK 11 USE DFS: DraftKings | FanDuel

  • Perhaps the Bengal team isn’t quite on the track they seem to be after beating their fellow Ravens in Week 7. However, we’ll bet on Burrow and Co. Burrow has thrown three touchdowns in three of the past four games, and if the Raiders continue to unravel, he should be able to deliver another strong performance.

  • McCaffrey didn’t waste much time re-establishing himself as the returning game leader. He turned 23 touches into a total of 161 yards and 21.1 fantasy points in Week 10. Cam Newton is scheduled to start this week and although he’s a fraction of where he was before, he It still represents an upgrade over Sam Darnold and PJ Walker. He’ll help open things up for McCaffrey and offense in general.

  • The Packers certainly know they will have a healthy serving of Cook, who has steadily improved his output since returning from injury on Halloween. He’s made a total of six touchdowns in two Green Bay replays in 2020, so the Packers won’t necessarily succeed in stopping what they see coming. Cook is available at a relative discount at any time, which is too tempting an offer to give up.

  • It looks like the Titans are still figuring out how to navigate life without Derrick Henry. That new reality is said to have put Brown in the spotlight – and it could still happen – but that hasn’t happened so far. Brown had a total of 9.5 fantasy points in two games following Henry’s injury. The Texans will certainly spend coverage and diagrams to slow Brown, but they won’t have Jalen Ramsey or Marshon Lattimore at their disposal.

  • Waddle has hit double-digit goals in three of his past five games and the Dolphins will find enough room against the Jets’ poor defence to combine him strongly again this week. In that same five-game span, Waddle finished with 3 fantasy pluses. We hope he can hit the 20-point mark, something that may need to be eased.

  • Aiyuk’s Week 10 record – three catches, 26 yards – is on the surface, but he still played 90% of the tackles and scored 21% of the goals. The 49ers only managed to make 19 passes, so opportunities are limited in passing games. Aiyuk brings some of the traits of Deebo Samuel and vice versa, and at $16 he’s worth the investment this week.

  • Knox barely existed from a fantasy perspective last week when he returned to action after a two-game absence. The Bills got him back in action, giving him his second fewest photo shoots of the year (49), yielding a tiny 2.2 fantasy points. The Colts have struggled to come up against the final spot, so this is the key point for Knox to bounce back.

  • Dillon will be one of the most beloved plays this week, but the DFS players don’t have to go out to avoid chalk. Aaron Jones is expected to be out for at least a week because of an MCL sprain and potentially weeks out, so Dillon will have a backyard to himself. Dillon shouldn’t have too much trouble adapting to a larger role. He has handled doubles touching five times this season and delivered a big performance as Jones missed Week 16 in 2020.

  • It’s only fair to doubt the Chiefs. After all, beating a struggling team of Raiders doesn’t erase the memory of getting 29 plus points in their first five games and a total of 13 fantasy points in that span. However, in the last five games, they only allow 20 points plus one at a time and have a total of 35 fantasy points. The Cowboys aren’t a team to pick, but we’ll take our chances with the minimum price.
