Xpeng appoints Sime Darby Motors as distributor in Hong Kong – G6 SUV, X9 MPV will start sales in Q3

According to Xpeng, SDM aims to open a flagship store in the special administrative region, with the new business set to begin selling the automaker’s products. SUV G6 and the X9 seven-seat MPV – which was announced earlier this year – around the third quarter, South China Morning Post report.
“Today marks an important milestone in Xpeng’s global expansion strategy. The appointment of SDM for Hong Kong follows the brand’s announcement planning item in Thailand, Singapore And Malaysiawhere the company will partner with Neo Mobility Asia, Premium Automobiles Group and Bermaz Auto in their respective markets.
The G6 will be the first Xpeng model offered in these three ASEAN markets, with Xpeng saying deliveries will begin in the third quarter of this year.
