Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Trailer emphasizes the short life of war
Nintendo’s June 22, 2022 live broadcast focuses on Xenoblade Chronicles 3 before the July release date. A new trailer sets up the game world and story of the third season Xenoblade titles, emphasizing themes of war, transience and heritage.

Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Set in the world of Aionios, where two nations: Keves and Agnus, exist in a constant state of war. Wars are fought by soldiers designed with an artificial lifespan of ten years. Each year was called a “term” and all ten years were devoted entirely to fighting.
Six soldiers, three from Keves and Ionios, encounter each other while on a special mission for their administration. After a mysterious encounter, the film ends up being fugitives, hunted by both nations. Their only hope is to advance to the Sword March, a part of the world pierced by a giant blade. There, they’ll find answers and a path toward “defeating the true enemy and bringing order to the world.”
Teasing cutscenes from .’s story Xenoblade Chronicles 3 focuses on the short lifespans of the characters and their desire to live or leave a lasting legacy, something that is impossible given their constant wartime lives. Specifically, Mio is revealed to be late to school in the tenth semester, with only three months left to live. Another character appears to perform some kind of ritual to share their remaining time with Mio, who refuses to accept it.
The Xenoblade Chronicle 3 The Direct also revealed more footage focusing on the support heroes, who joined the party as the seventh member. The characters Ashera, Valdi, Riku & Manana, Fiona, Alexandria and Gray were shown.

Heroes can bring unique classes and abilities to the team in Xenoblade Chronicles 3‘S class frame. Valdi is the War Medic, while Ashera is the Lone Exile, and Zeon is the Guardian Commander. Main party members can also apply Hero classes when they join the party, expanding their options to both combat and cosmetics.
Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Released on Nintendo Switch on July 29, 2022. Xenoblade Chronicles 2 and Xenoblade Chronicles, previous main games in the series, also available on Switch. Xenoblade Chronicles Xhowever, remains a Wii U exclusive.
