Woman creates a special bag for her rescue cat to take him around the country
When most people picture pet cats, they imagine them lounging on sofas or sleeping in patches of soft sunlight.
They’re not known to be the most adventurous of animals, but one woman is hoping to change the public’s perception of it.
Doina Muravschi received the Bounty over a year ago from a woman who was looking to get rid of him. Muravschi didn’t want to see the kitten go to the shelter, so she offered him a permanent home – something that would change their lives forever!
Since receiving Bounty, the two have had many adventures throughout Italy, going on bike trips, hiking and camping!
Muravschi started a Facebook page to chronicle their adventures together and have amassed hundreds of followers.
In an interview with La Repubblica, she explains that she made a special backpack just for Bounty so he can join her on adventures and travel.
She said, “I made a special handmade backpack for him, because for some journeys, pet carriers are not suitable. To test it, I climbed the Grignetta and he highly rated it. never complain. ”
It looks like the cat might be the first cat to climb to the top of a 7,100-foot mountain in the Italian Alps, and not much of a “meow” of protest!
“We went on trips together that lasted more than a month — last fall, when we went from Ballabio to Matera by bike. Bounty was a bit agitated at first, but after the first few days began to enjoy it. While I was peddling, he slept in the van,” she explained in La Repubblica.
Her hope is to educate the public about cats and break the stereotype that cats should be kept indoors, doing nothing more than playing with mouse toys and scratch pads. They can experience life and go on adventures, just like dogs!
