Wodonga is ready for this weekend’s showdown with ProMX
Penrite ProMX Championship 2022
Round 3 – Wodonga
Thor MX1
At Thor MX1 we can’t believe we entered Round 3 of the Championship with the title completely won, after what can only be described as an unprecedented turn of events for those with Redboard of the Championship since Round 1.
In spectacular fashion, the defending champion and Red Plate holder from Round 1, Luke Clout riding for CDR Yamaha Monster Energy, left the Championship after a high-speed collision in the opening THOR MX1 Moto at Round 2 in Mackay. Clout has confirmed successful surgery to repair a broken shin and is currently on his way to recovery, but he will give up his #1 plate at the end of the Championship.
In a devastating blow to his rookie season, the Round 2 winner in Mackay and Kyle Webster, the new Red Disc Owner, driving for the Honda Racing Australia team, were injured in an actual collision the week after Round 2, breaking both their left foot and right ankle, thus ending their thirst. Thor MX1 Champion in 2022.
The setting now set for Wodonga is the undeniably dynamic confrontation of the Thor MX1 challengers. CDR Aaron Tanti of CDR Yamaha Monster Energy, Todd Waters of Husqvarna Australia, Kirk Gibbs of KTM Australia, Brett Metcalfe of GO24 and Dean Ferris of Honda Racing Australia all have a huge point to prove at Wodonga by placing all both on the list to claim themselves as the new favorite Champion.
With former 3 x champion Dean Ferris back in shape and winning the last moto at MackayYou can bet that he will be hungry for more, just as his opponents will be eager to prevent him from gaining any further momentum in the chase for the championship!

Pirelli MX2
In the Pirelli MX2, it’s a story of speed and consistency at a preeminent level from Wilson Todd of Honda Racing Australia. Winning all 4 races of the season so far with a perfect 100, Todd has shown an incredible amount of racing skill to get the job done so far.
However, Todd has been repeatedly challenged by Yamalube Yamaha’s Alex Larwood, who has been gaining confidence and motivation since the start of the season.
Serco Yamaha duo Bailey Malkiewicz and Jesse Dobson will also feature heavily at Wodonga, looking to find a foothold above Todd and Larwood in the early stages of the Championship.
Husqvarna Australia’s Dylan Wills will bring his clean start and signature fluid style to Wodonga, where the NSW driver is sure to soon demonstrate his speed and comfort on difficult terrain.
