WMoto RT1 2024 Updated for Malaysia, Priced at RM9,888

The colour and technical update for the Malaysian market is WMoto RT1 2024 ScooterRM9,888 excluding road tax, insurance and registration. The RT1 was officially launched earlier, in January 2024, at the same price.

Three new color options for the RT1 are Sky Blue, White and Matte Red, along with new graphics to match. There’s also now a USB charging port for the rider’s electronics inside the front hood pocket.

Power remains the same, with 15.4hp at 8,000rpm and 14.5Nm at 6,750rpm coming from the 149.3cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine. Power is sent to the rear wheel via a CVT and belt drive, while weight is listed at 144kg with 9 litres of fuel in the tank.

Unique to the RT1 is traction control and dual-channel ABS as standard equipment, a first in Malaysia in this scooter segment when it was first launched. For added safety, front and rear dash cams are included in the RT1’s spec list.

Other riding conveniences include a TFT-LCD dashboard with Bluetooth connectivity to the rider’s smartphone, an under-seat USB charging port, and a smart key system. Full LED lighting is used throughout the bike, including LED lighting in the under-seat storage compartment large enough to hold a helmet.

Suspension is done with conventional telescopic forks at the front and twin shock absorbers at the rear with adjustable spring preload. Braking is done with hydraulic discs on the 14-inch wheels front and rear, using 110/80 front and 120/70 rear rubber.
