Weather
Why is it so wet this week? And the weather is like summer ahead. It’s all in my new podcast.
This week, I received several complaints about humidity. Everyone was sweating and the cold drinks were drenched outside.
If one comes from the eastern half of the United States, one might laugh at such complaints, but one thing is true, Dewpoint temperaturea measure of atmospheric humidity was the highest in the past month, rising to nearly 60F (see dew point chart at SeaTac below).
My podcast talks about dew point temperature and tells you why it was above normal earlier this week.
My podcast also provides a forecast for next week and talks about a minor heatwave Monday and Tuesday, when temperatures will rise to the 80s in western Washington, the 90s in the Willamette Valley and over 100F in parts of the Columbia River Basin (see forecast until 5 p.m. Monday below). Cooler along the coast and northwest Washington.
But by Wednesday, cool sea air will come in.
