Why a landscape photographer has been shooting with Nikon for two decades
Nikon cameras and lenses don’t always attract the same extreme design attention as Canon and Sony, but they are the tool of choice for many professionals for a variety of reasons. This fun video essay follows an experienced landscape photographer discussing why he’s been with the brand for two decades because of his work.
Coming to you from Nigel Danson, the essay in this video discusses why he chose to work with Nikon cameras over the past 20 years. While Canon and Sony often pay a lot of attention to things like ultra-wide aperture lenses or 50-megapixel cameras that can shoot 30fps, Nikon generally takes a more conservative approach, choosing to manufacture cameras and realistic matching lenses. Combine that with their prized sensors and it’s easy to see why they’re the tools of choice for photographers who care less about working at the cutting edge of technology and more more than having reliable tools that get the job done without much fuss. Check out the video above for Danson’s full thoughts.
