Each of those players has had incredible seasons and great moments for Heisman. For Young, those moments came during the Iron Bowl – when he leading the Crimson Tide on the 97-yard game touchdown track to keep the team’s college football playoff hopes alive – and next week, when he overcome Georgia’s lauded defense to lead Alabama to the SEC championship.
Hutchinson’s moments come at their biggest, when he hits three sacks each into Penn State and Ohio State’s rival in Weeks 10 and 12, respectively. He’s had seven synthetic sacks in his last four outings. Stroud only needs half for his Heisman moment, Michigan State secondary dicing to the tune of 32 of 35 passes in 432 yards and six touchdowns.
Pickett’s moment was a bit controversial – forge a slide with Wake Forest for a 58-yard touchdown test in the ACC championship game – but no less impressive for that fact.
