Boxing and heavyweight got a boost this week when Deontay Wilder announces he plans to fight again.
Earlier this week, in his hometown of Tuscaloosa, Alabama, the ‘Bronze Bomber’ attended a public event where a statue of Wilder was unveiled in honor of his career and achievements.
The former WBC heavyweight champion was clearly proud of the moment and later told collectors and media that his career wasn’t over yet.
“I can’t stop right now. I have to continue with my journey,” said the 36-year-old.
“I can’t end it like this. This journey does not end with. I have to continue my journey.”
Since 2018, Wilder’s career has been memorable with Tyson Fury. The two fought each other three times but the Americans were never enough to defeat the British. With the current WBC champion, “retirement” and Usyk-Joshua 2 The rematch has yet to seal the division’s return
