Prime Day is basically Amazon’s version of Black Friday.

Doom and gloom aside, one of the more interesting events the company organizes is its annual fire event. Called Amazon’s “savings holiday,” it gives Black Friday a run for the money — while potentially making Walmart and other competitors jealous.

Here’s everything we know about Prime Day 2022.

Amazon celebrated its 20th anniversary in 2015 by introducing a full day of sales on Amazon.com. The company offers deep discounts on Amazon-branded products as well as tens of thousands of other items from third-party sellers. whole event, called Official Daywas a huge hit, and so Amazon turned it into a massive annual sale.

Prime Day is open to Prime members in over a dozen countries including Austria, Australia, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, China, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Luxembourg, Mexico, Netherlands, Portugal, Singapore , Spain, the United Kingdom and the United States Poland and Sweden also joined the Prime Day family, with Amazon announcing it would be joining the lineup of participating companies.

There will be thousands of deals this year – not just on Amazon’s own devices, such as the Amazon Echo, but also across products in multiple categories. Last year set a record for Prime Day, and we expect Amazon to try to break its record again.

We’re predicting 50% off Fire TV and potentially up to 55% off Fire tablets, Kindle e-readers, and Echo devices, but you should look for Friday-style deals Black all over the site. Also, expect sales on competitor TVs and even small home appliances like smart microwaves and coffee makers. We already know retailers like SodaStream and Dove will be offering discounts and some deals will be available as early as June 21 for Prime Members.

Prime Day is aimed at Amazon Prime subscribers, and this year only Prime Members can take advantage of the deals. The service costs $139 per year (or $14.99 per month), but students get it in half and have a 30-day free trial. Prime offers Amazon shoppers a number of distinct advantages, including free one- or two-day shipping on most items, as well as access to Prime Video, Prime Music, Prime Pantry, Prime Now, etc.

Amazon Assistant

Amazon Assistant is a free browser plugin (for Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer, Safari, and Microsoft Edge) that lets you see product comparisons. It provides shortcuts to popular Amazon hubs and gives on-screen notifications when the deals you’re viewing appear live.

And finally, there are Prime Access Early Access deals, a type of Lightning Deal for Prime members. Amazon typically offers Prime members 30-minute early access to certain deals, though all deals are only available when supplies run out. To stay on top of these various deals, use Amazon’s app, where you can view most deals 24 hours in advance and sign up for notifications.

Amazon Coupons

Do you know Amazon.com offers coupons? In fact, there’s a whole mall on Amazon where you can find coupons for electronics, pet supplies, toys, and other items. Just go to Amazon.com then click the link at the top for “Today’s Deals” and in the category menu at the top click “Coupons” (or use this link).

When you find an item you want to buy, click the “Clip this coupon” button near the shelf to clip the coupon. When you’re done shopping, go to your cart and pay. In the cart details you will see the coupon amount deducted from your total.

Price tracking and comparison tool

If you want to check the price of a deal against what Amazon has charged in the past, try CamelCamelCamel. It’s a free Amazon price tracker that tracks millions of products and serves up their price history.
