Rudi’s Seagrill, Carnival Cruise Line’s upscale seafood restaurant, offers a menu of delicious, beautifully prepared dishes served in a bright, airy dining room. Glass fish accents and blue accents add to the nautical feel.

While Carnival has had onboard seafood options for years, this is a far cry from the pool deck’s Seafood Shack (which recently sold me a mediocre crab cake). Instead, at Rudi’s, you’ll find unmissable lobster mac and cheese, a variety of meat and seafood options, and crab cakes that are truly worth the price of admission.

While the official dress code is “cruise casual,” you may want to dress a little more formally for dinner at Rudi’s, depending on the atmosphere.

Rudi’s seafood grill menu

Rudi’s menu includes five sections from which you can choose three courses for your meal: appetizers, soups and salads, entrees, grilled dishes and desserts. For your first course, you can choose an appetizer, soup or salad. For your second course, choose an appetizer or grilled dish. Next up is dessert for the third course.

Appetizers include blue mussels, sauteed shrimp, oysters, and the aforementioned lobster mac and cheese. Soup and salad options include seafood bisque, fisherman’s stew, house salad or baby romaine with cauliflower and honey squash.

If you’re in the mood for seafood, choose one of the appetizers like grilled halibut, red snapper, Dover sole, grilled lobster tail, or the crab cakes I raved about earlier. If you prefer meat, choose something from the grill – free-range chicken, pork chops or prime New York strip steak – instead.

Best of all, enjoy dishes like apple cheesecake with limoncello cream, chocolate truffle cake, white chocolate pudding or key lime pie for dessert.

Wine and cocktails are also available for sale. Choose from sparkling, white, red and rosé wines or Rudi’s unique cocktails, such as the Seagrill Sangria and Santorini Martini.
