The Queen received a standing ovation as her Platinum Jubilee celebrations began on Sunday.
A Gallop Through History is an epic horse race starring Tom Cruise and Dame Helen Mirren, among the stars marking the Queen’s 70-year reign.
Cruise, best known for films such as Top Gun and Mission Impossible, told ITV that the Queen “is a woman I greatly admire”.
“What she has achieved is history,” he said.
“She’s met presidents, world leaders, people from all walks of life.
“Not only Americans, but the whole world knows her dignity, her devotion and her kindness – that’s what I’ve always felt about her.
“Someone who understands her position and has held it through an extraordinary history of the past 70 years.”
The 96-year-old monarch arrived at the arena, near Windsor Castle, and was greeted by an audience that rose to applaud her.

It comes amid concerns about the Queen’s mobility, after she missed the Opening of Parliament in recent days.
But she was able to make her way to her seat in the royal box on Sunday, passing an honor guard consisting of the Cold Line Guards, the RAF Regiment and the Royal Navy, as the anthem was played. .
The Queen sits with a blanket over her knees and a shawl over her shoulders and at one point she was spotted applying a fresh coat of lipstick.
Among other stars on the show are Damian Lewis, Omid Djalili and Katherine Jenkins, along with the Royal Oman Cavalry, performers from Azerbaijan and the King’s Guard of Norway.
Earlier this month, Buckingham Palace revealed plans to hold celebrations in June, slated for a four-day bank holiday weekend in June.
Among the events are the £15 million festival featuring a dragon puppet as wide as the Shopping Centre, and the Platinum Festival on the final day of celebration which will include performances by a some of the biggest names in the world, including Ed Sheeran and Sir Cliff Richard.
