Younger members of the workforce often have different motivations than their older counterparts. Employees who responded to the survey said they value education, training and development, leading the company to improve its tuition reimbursement program and creating more ways for employees to earn additional certifications.
Another finding: Employees want to interact with their colleagues outside of work.
“Social engagement is so important to the younger generation, so we’re working on ways to do that — even virtual things with remote team members,” Issitt said. — because we know it helps people feel connected.”
