We love this hilarious and heartwarming tribute to “The Ugliest Dog”

Saying goodbye to a dog is hard enough, but writing a eulogy when your dog has passed away can be extremely difficult. How do you take a lifetime and wrap it up into a few words? What do you say to show all the fun, love, and mischief you and your dog have experienced together in the right way for your dog?

We were impressed when we saw it this beautiful farewell for a fur family member who recently passed away. We’ve never met Gus, but we know what kind of dog he is. And we can say that, even with all the troubles he’s had, his people have never loved him less than even for a moment. Gus is loved the way all dogs deserve to be loved. You can cry. You can laugh. But you will surely miss Gus forever.

Gustavo, “Gus,” Klinkner died peacefully after a brave battle trying to be a good boy.

Born pure bread and all weeds, he spent his early years caring and nurturing because he simply spread the hearts of well-meaning human beings. .

In 2011, he met the Klinkners and learned that someone finally understood: he wasn’t a bad dog, he was just really hungry.

Proving that an old dog can indeed learn new tricks, Gus spent the rest of his life discovering the joys of being a dog. He mastered the total domination of the pillow and the art of precise sizing of a king-size bed. He learned how to open food container lids, litter box lids, and open Tupperware containers with cinnamon rolls inside. He helps with the housework by cleaning and washing dishes, even when everyone has not finished eating. And he’s helped his owners on their weight loss journey by setting the counter a pizza, a whole chicken, a pan of enchiladas and half a birthday cake (it’s not your birthday). him.) He can’t sit, can’t shake, talk, or roll over. . . but he can whip cream right out of the can and has a masterful vanishing act whenever he hears the sound of bath water.

Gus takes his call for protection and service seriously. He never let the doorbell ring without his direct intervention, always alerting the neighborhood to high winds, and restraining squirrels to a designated row of trees. He knows never to trust lawyers in suits or padded spandex gymnasts. He checks the house’s foundation daily by digging a 6-meter-long hole, and protects his family from any possibility of suffocation by removing stuffing from any bedding. they used to own.

Gus loves deeply, snores loudly and always tells you exactly what he’s thinking. His affection for his people is as intense as his affection for their burgers.

Gus is survived by a headless stuffed bunny, a cackling viper, a stuffed fox, and a heartbroken family just hoping they’ll remember to give him the last piece of bacon this morning.

On the day Gus’s former owner gave it to the Klinkners, she let out a long sigh and said, “I think I told you all the bad things about him.” However, she didn’t mention that he was actually the ugliest dog that ever lived.

In lieu of flowers, Gus’ family asks you to spend this week eating donuts, sharing bacon, and making room in bed. And most importantly, spend all your days giving it a second chance. Because every two-legged or four-legged person deserves to be loved wholeheartedly.

What a beautiful tribute to a good life! Remember to give your dog some love today in memory of Gus.
