Watch: A Live A Live Demo Worth Checking Out (And So Is The Game)

Back at Nintendo Direct earlier this year, Square Enix revealed that it was remaking the little-known 1994 SNES RPG Live A Live, in their signature HD-2D style. Not many Nintendo Direct viewers know what it is, and while many of us were curious about the game, it seemed a bit unexpected.

And so we gathered three people to discuss the game, after playing the (now available) demo: Zion Grassl, our video star and fan of little-known JRPGs; Kevin Kenson, in total Kevin Kenson Gaming, who also loves little-known JRPGs; and Kate Gray (hello!), who don’t know much about little-known JRPGs, but played Chrono Activator. And the Live A Live demo, of course.

We sat down to discuss the plot of a seven-character RPG, the incredible innovation Live A Live introduced in the early ’90s, and the disappointing sales that led to the game’s release. flying within sight. Our verdict on the game? You’ll just have to watch the video to find out, right?
