The key difference to the US extended version, initially offered only in rear-wheel drive form, is the second-row bench seat, allowing space for up to seven people. Pro S Plus versions come standard with single-engine seating, but a captain’s chair package — reducing capacity to six — can be added. The captain’s chair layout is included in the Pro S Plus and 1st Edition versions.

Despite the delay in repackaging this car for the US market and adding three-row seating, none of the ID.Buzz versions offer the ability to fold the seats particularly neatly (or flat), highlights the problem with electric trucks that have a skateboard layout and that their floor space is already taken up by the battery pack. Included in the First Edition and optional on the Pro S Plus is the Flexboard system that adds two fabric bins and “creates a flat floor when the seat is folded”—by placing a raised panel through the hatch, level with the second row folded. However, the third row can be removed completely and the second row slides fore and aft by 7.9 inches.
