Volvo cars Australia remembered 1255 examples its EX30because the small electric SUV’s infotainment screen may not display driving speed.

Unlike most cars on sale, Volvo EX30 There’s no traditional gauge cluster, but instead the speedometer is placed at the top of the centrally mounted infotainment screen.

In the recall notice, the automaker said: “Due to a software error, the infotainment device screen may enter test mode during vehicle start-up.”

“This may prevent important information such as vehicle speed from being displayed.

“Failure to display important information can increase the risk of injury or death to vehicle occupants and other road users.”

According to Volvo, the error can be fixed via an Over-the-Air (OTA) software update that you can download to the EX30 yourself.

However, if you are unable to update your car remotely, you can contact your preferred authorized Volvo retailer to schedule an appointment for a free EX30 software update.
