The Volvo EX30 was leaked ahead of its global launch date of June 7 after an image of the brand’s smallest SUV was posted on Facebook. Twitter recently. Believed to have been spotted on Volvo’s website, this image gives us a clear view of the EX30’s side view, which matches well with what was seen in previous patent images.

With clear inspiration from the larger EX90, notable design cues on the EX90 include the pixelated daytime running lights on the Thor’s Hammer headlights, prominent wheel arch creases, clamshell bonnet and lights. two-piece rear.

Along with the leaks, we also have preliminary powertrain details thanks to a report from car. At launch, EX30 will be available with two battery packs, including a lithium iron phosphate (LFP) option with an energy capacity of 51 kWh as well as a nickel manganese cobalt (NMC) variant with 69 kWh.

The all-electric SUV, which falls behind the current XC40, can be configured with a single engine, rear-wheel drive or dual-motor, all-wheel drive. Volvo claims the EX30’s maximum range is 480 km, likely applicable to the “long range” variant it touts that combines an NMC battery with rear-wheel drive.

Volvo also said in an official statement that the EX30 will be its most eco-friendly model to date, with 25% lower carbon emissions than the existing C40 Recharge and XC40 Recharge for over 200,000 km. drive.

This is achieved by reducing the amount of steel and aluminum required to build the SUV as well as increasing the use of recycled content. Approximately 25% of all aluminum, 17% of all steel and 17% of all plastic used to make the EX30 are recycled, while 70% of recycled polyster is used for trim and upholstery in the cabin. At the end of its life, the EX30 is designed to recover up to 95% by recycling materials and recovering energy from things that cannot be recovered.
