Volkswagen recently teased a new product that is camouflaged to move by electric power in the snow. Who guess the car is the update touareg, come down to claim your prize. Touareg R eHybrid is currently a Dip into the mixture version and offers optional all-wheel drive – two key features showcased in the Twitter video. by VW Now let’s talk a bit more about what else the new SUV will offer, starting with the IQ.Light, a pair of high-definition matrix headlights. Each light contains 19,200 micro LEDs, with a total of 38,400 pixels covering the road ahead in the image. Devices connected by an LED strip will be part of the reworked front panel. At the back, the surprise is a red-illuminated VW badging, a legal novelty in Europe since earlier this year.

More significant changes can be found at the top, where roof load cells provide information to dynamic systems about any overhead loads. Without the roof box on the rack, the Touareg can enjoy more sporting freedom. When cargo is available, networked sensors let babysitters like the electronic stability control system know to be a little more vigilant. At the bottom, both suspension options — steel springs or air springs — have been tuned to “achieve a greater bandwidth between maximum comfort and optimal performance.”
Inside, the “Improved Cockpit” gets upgrades like high-resolution map data and lane-accurate navigation, and wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. In terms of comfort, customer feedback has convinced VW to make the center console armrest a bit softer.
The new Touareg is completing cold weather testing in Swedish Lapland. It comes out this summer.
