Chilean, Britney Spears may be preparing to marry Sam Ashgaribut her first husband, Jason Alexander, doesn’t seem to be here for that.
According to TMZ, police arrested Alexander after he broke through Spears’ security, trying to disrupt her wedding. The pop star’s first husband also took to Instagram Live to film the challenge.
On IG Live, Alexander can be heard saying:
Where is Britney? I am Jason Alexander – first husband. I’m here to ruin a wedding.
He also said that Spears “was His first and only wife,” TMZ also reported.
Alexander has been charged with “intrusion, vandalism and 2 batteries … in connection with his physical altercations with Britney’s security.” It was also reported that Alexander had an arrest warrant in another county for felony theft.
Spears’ attorney, Matthew Rosengart, told TMZ:
Personally, I am working with the sheriff’s department to ensure that Mr. Alexander is vigorously prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.
Alexander said he’s been in touch with Britney for a while. Back in 2020, he told TMZ that the two reconnected and he attended too Free Britney demonstration in her conservatorship role.
Britney Spears and Jason Alexander got married in Vegas in 2004. They quickly decided to pause two days after the ceremony.
