Victor Wembanyama has 24 points in his first game back to France
A week after surprising NBA players and fans in Las Vegas, Victor Wembanyama, a potential No. NBA Draft 2023 returned to France. Spectacular performances continued in his hometown on Saturday.
Paris-based Metropolitan 92 faced Le Mans in LNB Pro A, the highest level of professional basketball in France. In the 94-89 overtime victory, Wembanyama, a 7-foot-4 with an 8-foot wingspan, had 24 points, 9 rebounds and 3 blocks and made Le Mans lose its first game of the season.

Last week, Wembanyama and his team faced Scoot Henderson, another expected top pick, and G League Ignite in two games. The first game with NBA stars Chris Paul and Devin Booker watch with the WNBA champions A’ja Wilson and Chelsea Gray afterward Las Vegas Aces.
A day later, Wembanyama attracted many compliments from LeBron James.
“People have labeled this unicorn,” James said. “Everybody’s been a unicorn for the last two years, but he’s been more like an alien. I’ve never seen – never seen anyone as tall as him, but as lithe and graceful as he is out on the floor. .”
Wembanyama and Metro 92’s next match is on October 21 against Blois.
