Vanessa Posso backs Gervonta Davis, denies being harmed

Vanessa Posso is clearing the air about what happened between her and Gervonta Davis earlier this week. Davis was arrested for assault and domestic violence on December 27. During the 911 call, Posso repeatedly called for help and said that Davis was trying to kill her, although she did not name him.

On Friday, Posso released a statement sharing responsibility for their domestic dissension. She described the past few days as “Hurting and extremely exhausting for all parties involved.”

“The state of our relationship is in a fragile space and Gervonta and I are both at fault for the argument. While my emotions were running high, I made an unnecessary call to law enforcement during a stressful time while I was in a frenzy. Gervonta did not harm me or our daughter.”

She also explained how she and Gervonta chose to move on after the incident.

“Today, we sought the help we needed to get on with our lives. I am confident that we will succeed with the parenting dynamism with the mentoring provided to us.”

After his release, Gervonta flooded his social media profiles, saying there was more to his arrest. He accused Posso of smearing baby poop from their toddler’s diaper on a toothbrush. He showed pictures of the words “liar” and “scam” in the bathroom mirror.

And Davis also shared a small clip of Posso leaving him, holding his toddler and broken glass near children’s toys. Meanwhile, Davis stood on the other side of the glass door with a torn shirt.

He also shared a photo of his eldest daughter from a previous relationship. He said his argument with Posso followed shortly after – suggesting his eldest brother was also at home during his arrest.

After Gervonta spoke up, his dietitian, Elliot Buckling, confirmed that Vanessa’s energy during the 911 call didn’t match the scene on the call.

In his apology, Posso was not specifically responsible for the faeces, the inscriptions on the mirror or Gervonta’s torn T-shirt.

Davis has yet to publicly respond to Vanessa’s apology and clarification. Meanwhile, Vanessa posted a video of their daughter on Instagram Story following her statement.

It’s unclear if battery charging will be reduced after Vanessa’s new story or if Davis will continue his January 7 game against Héctor Luís Garcia.

This is an evolving story.
