UK macro analysis firm Quant Insight has added to its global platform Symphony


UK provider of quantitative financial market analysis and asset insights, Quant Insight (Qi), has officially been added to Symphony, the technology and infrastructure platform of leading markets head, to provide macro-based insights to Symphony’s global financial community.

SymphonyIts community includes more than half a million users, serving more than 1,000 institutions, including asset managers and investment banks.

Quant Insight (Qi) built a commercial BOT, RETINA™ (‘Real-time Alerts and Alerts) that will sit on top of the Symphony platform and bring brief macro-based insights into Symphony chat rooms. Real-time push notifications will be tailored to each user based on profile and interests. Users can also ping RETINA to request updated charts for any security. A tracking feature will be released in the coming weeks, allowing users to track securities of interest in real time and be notified in the event of a significant change.

Qi’s RETINA™ is available on the Symphony Marketplace for Symphony users. With RETINA™, Symphony users will be alerted to macro-based pricing anomalies, changes in key macro drivers and changes in underlying trends covering 6,000 market instruments including includes indices, sectors, stocks, forex, rates, futures, commodities and cryptocurrencies.

Updates from commercial BOTs will be relevant, timely, and sparse, ensuring users are only updated when there is a significant change – typically two to five notifications per day.

The cloud-based financial markets brains behind Qi use ‘world first’ state-of-the-art machine learning and high-quality data inputs including GDP Nowcast and have been developed in partnership with world leaders in machine learning (Professor Mike Hobson of Cambridge University and Professor Ryan Prescott Adams of Princeton University). RETINA reduces millions of publicly available data points to two to five essential daily insights and is now used by some of the world’s most renowned investment banks, hedge funds and asset managers, including including Brevan Howard’s Alan Howard. RETINA was built by the owner for investors. The team includes experienced former portfolio managers from Brevan Howard, Millennium, BlueCrest, Credit Suisse, Morgan Stanley, Fidelity and others.
